How to throw a grad-tastic graduation party

Your grad has worked long and hard to finish all of their classes and now it’s time for everyone to party! Cement your grad’s place in school history with these tips on how to throw the ultimate graduation party!

• 1.    Pick a theme: Obviously the main theme is graduation, but make the festivities extra fun by choosing a theme that is too cool for school. Is it a high school graduation party and the grad is going out of state for college? Make the graduation party’s theme the college’s home state (think a Texas backyard BBQ, New York City posh or California beachy). Is your grad leaving middle school and moving on to high school? Incorporate the high school’s mascot into the theme – it will be a roaring good time (Go Lions!)
• 2.    Decorate: Once you’ve established a theme, as the pros would say, “You have to create ambiance.” Or in layman’s terms: make the place pretty! The party will be anything but lame when you play up the theme and add in elements that tie the whole celebrate together. • 3.    Get the party started: Keep the party moving and grooving to a party playlist. Keep the music in theme, hello High School Musical songs (and possible choreographed dance moves that you tried to forget), or just include the hits. On our list: Don’t Stop Believe by Journey!
